Since that time, thirteen generations have been documented up to the present days. The current dʻAlì Solina’s branch, which includes Giulio, owner of Tenute Pietretagliate e Regalbesi company, was established in the second post-war period. The activities of the d'Alì family (this surname began to be used at the end of the seventeenth century), initially linked to the relationship with the sea (coral, salt and tuna), had mercantile, entrepreneurial and shipowning nature.
Over the time, also because of the marriages with important families of the aristocracy of Trapani, the d'Alì started to link themselves to the land activities: this has lead to the wine and olive oil production with the most advanced cultivation systems, innovative forms of agrarian partnership and improvements of territory, such as land reclamations and the creation of an irrigation systems and homes for settlers.
